Surakarta, or Solo, is a city in Central Jawa situaded on the way from Salatiga to Jogjakarta. It is famous for the batik and also because Solo with Jogjakarta are the cities who have a King (Sultan).
Surakarta, o Solo, es una ciudad de Java Central situada entre Salatiga y Jogjakarta. Es conocida por su batik y también porque Solo, junto con Jogjakarta, son las ciudades que tienen Rey (Sultán).
I did not visit the sultan palace or other famous places. I only went to Pasar Klewer (Klewer market) full of batik clothes.
And Pasar Triwindu (Triwindu market). This market provides a variety of antiques, ancient lamps, porcelain, toys, metal sculptures and other unique items.
No visité el palacio del sultán u otros lugares conocidos. Solo pasé unas horas en el Pasar Klewer (Mercado Klewer), lleno de ropa de batik. Y por suerte, también fui al Pasar Triwindu (Mercado Triwindu). Es un mercado de antigüedades tales como lámparas, porcelana, esculturas, joyería... entre otras cosas.
Of all that I saw in Solo, I really liked the Triwindu market and of course the streets. I felt like in other kind of Indonesian city... I do not want that you imagine how is it, I prefer to leave you some pictures, and your imagination will do the other!
De todo lo que vi en Solo, realmente me gustó el mercado de Triwindu y por supuesto, las calles. Me sentí como en otro tipo de ciudad indonesia. No quiero que lo imaginéis del todo, prefiero dejaros algunas fotos y que vuestra imaginación haga el resto!
